Basic Product Information
Service Level
Usually delivered to the recipients on the second weekday from posting and the rest on the third.
Maximum weight
Maximum Weight of a Customer Direct 1 kg* and maximum weight for the teaser 25 g.
*By separate agreement, the weight can be 2 kg.
Dimensions
Maximum dimensions 250 mm x 353 mm x 20 mm *)
Minimum dimensions 90 mm x 140 mm
*) By separate agreement, the thickness can be 30 mm or the weight 2 kg. Additional Handling, subject to a charge, will be added to items exceeding the maximum thickness (20 mm).

When using contract-based invoicing that is based on a mailing list, Customer Direct items must be furnished with Posti Ltd.’s payment indication.
Sending
The items must be dropped off at a sorting center or terminal by 5 p.m., or you can use Posti’s pick-up service (free of charge). Items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.
Receiving
Delivered with basic delivery, post office box delivery, delivery service (subject to a charge) or to Poste restante.
Pricing
The postage fee is determined on the basis of the price list that is valid at the time, unless otherwise agreed. The price also includes the carbon neutralization of the emissions caused by the delivery.
Product features that affect the price include the batch size, the weight of an individual item, processability and any additional services used. The postage fee depends on the above-mentioned product features selected by the customer and on other additional services attached to the item, if any (such as Information Service).
Pricing structure is based on batch size and weight class. For Teaser, the structure is item pricing. The use of Teaser is restricted to two weeks before or after the actual main mailing sent as Customer Direct.
Payment Methods
Contract-based invoicing, i.e. information about a mailing batch is provided on an electronic or paper (subject to a charge) mailing list.
Delivery Terms

Customer Direct items that cannot be delivered to the recipient will be treated as undeliverable. They are not subject to the address clarification required for personal items pursuant to the Act on Postal Services. Posti will dispose of the item, unless otherwise agreed (Information Service).
Confidential/personal messages must be sent as Priority or Economy letters with address clarification.
Additional Handling
Additional handling is added to Customer Direct in the cases mentioned below or in the cases in which the mailing’s preparatory work does not meet the Customer Direct preparation requirements.Teaser’s price includes additional handling.
Batches consisting of a maximum of 5,000 items
If the thickness of the item exceeds 20 mm
When the item must be sorted manually.
Items can be packed in boxes without the Additional Handling service when items are suitable for machine sorting and arranged in postal code order.
Batches comprising more than 5,000 items
If the thickness of the item exceeds 20 mm
When a batch of more than 5,000 items has not been bundled or unitized according to instructions.
Unbundled machine-sortable batch (only by separate agreement, requires advance information and postal code order).
Note!
If the mailer uses the Sorting Service and bundles items so that bundles to be opened are in boxes, the Additional Handling service is not marked on the mailing list. Publication- or catalog-like products which cannot be bundled must be sent wrapped in plastic or in an envelope. Otherwise, a separate handling fee will be charged.
Special Handling
Batches consisting of a maximum of 5,000 items
Packing in boxes, with the address information facing the same direction and in ascending postal code order.
Items are to be mailed packed in boxes, large items separate from small ones
The box must feature an A4 sheet that indicates the postal code area direction of the content and a sorting service box label
Batches comprising more than 5,000 items
Bundling, alphabetic sorting and unitizing (batch sorting)
Batches are dropped off bundled into postal code, postal code area and sorting center bundles
In special cases, packing in boxes is possible by separate agreement, but this requires advance information seven (7) weeks in advance.

If the mailer uses the Sorting Service and bundles items so that bundles to be opened are in boxes, the Additional Handling service is not marked on the mailing list. Publication- or catalog-like products which cannot be bundled must be sent wrapped in plastic or in an envelope. Otherwise an Additional Handling charge will be added to it.
Information Service
You can add the Information Service and the desired service level to Customer Direct depending on how items are to be handled. If the Information Service has been attached to Customer Direct, undeliverable items will be handled at an address clarification point according to the marked service level
